New websites: PDOnline, SciGPU, Involv

The IIC is pleased to announce the rollout of three new websites that provide collaborative interfaces and showcase IIC work: PDOnline Research, SciGPU.org and Involvweb.org.

PDOnline Research is the latest collaborative framework for biomedical science to emerge from the Science Collaboration Framework project. Sponsored and managed by the Michael J. Fox Foundation and launched in April, the site provides tools to a collaborative community for technical discussion and problem-solving in Parkinson’s disease science.

SciGPU.org is a new collaboration site supporting IIC-organized work on the application of general-purpose graphics processing units (GPGPU) programming to accelerate leading-edge computational science. This site hosts mailing lists, calendars, downloadable software and other resources for a growing community sharing knowledge about this technology.

Involvweb.org provides information, including videotaped demos, about Involv, a project of the Scientists’ Discovery Room Lab. Involv combines cutting-edge interactive technology with emerging information visualization techniques to create innovative explorations for large, hierarchical datasets.
